Our Mergers & Acquisitions and Sustainable Operations team is experiencing significant growth and servicing a large client base. Consultants work on technical and strategic projects including EHS audits, EHS/ESG due diligence, ESG strategy, and project finance. The team also handles environment, health, and safety compliance audits for major global corporations. We are seeking a Principal Consultant to deliver compliance audits and support transactional advisory services related to EHS, ESG, or Environmental Due Diligence. The ideal candidate will have several years of client-facing experience, such as compliance audits or due diligence, along with strong communication and writing skills.
Primary Responsibilities
* Lead onsite compliance audits on environment, health, and safety topics, supporting the team’s pipeline.
* Deliver transactional advisory services, including environmental, EHS, and ESG due diligence, primarily within ANZ.
* Support project management tasks, including proposals and budgeting; project management experience is desirable but not essential.
* Analyze and interpret technical information to understand and communicate commercial implications.
* Build and maintain client relationships through project delivery and account support.
* Act as a technical advisor for consultancy projects across various sectors, focusing on environmental, health & safety, and ESG topics, with a sound understanding of Australian regulations.
* Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
* Contribute to proposal development, including methodological approaches, tasks, budgets, and team structures.
Qualifications
* Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Climate Change, Chemical Sciences, or related field.
* Preferably 10 to 14 years of experience in consulting, with familiarity in environmental and/or health and safety advisory.
* Ability to multi-task, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills; team collaboration skills are essential.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
