About the Project
A 30 ML/d seawater desalination plant will be delivered at Belmont South NSW, to provide weather independent supply to the community in the lower Hunter region. It is one of the largest capital projects in the water sector in the Hunter region and aligns with our Carbon Neutral Strategy by 2035.
Role
We are looking for a highly driven Electrical & Instrumentation Project Engineer for the Belmont Desal Project in Newcastle, NSW. This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking to diversify their skillset.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Newcastle, NSW. Relocation support can be provided.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
* Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
* Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Area Manager.
* Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
* Direct exposure to interfacing with client and working on a project through the lifecycle of planning, establishment delivery, commissioning and handover.
* Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
* Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
* Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislative requirements relevant to the project.
* Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
* Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
* Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
* Assist in the planning, procurement, and delivery of various supplier packages.
Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Previous experience working on infrastructure projects $100m+
* Experience in Water Infrastructure, highly desirable.
* Experience in Building Services, highly desirable.
* Project delivery and tender experience.
* Ability to work well with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.
* A can-do attitude with a hands-on approach.
