Child Safety Officer

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced professional who can deliver high-quality child protection services to vulnerable children and families.

* Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs, taking into account their unique circumstances and cultural background.
* Intervention: Develop and implement intervention plans that promote positive change and support the well-being of children and families.
* Casework: Provide ongoing support and guidance to children and families, helping them to navigate complex systems and access necessary resources.
* Case Management: Manage complex cases, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.

As a Child Safety Officer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Queenslanders. You will work closely with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, sharing your expertise and learning from others.

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development theory and be able to apply this knowledge in practice. They will also be skilled in conflict resolution and mediation, and be able to think critically and creatively.

Working in this role requires a high degree of emotional intelligence, empathy and cultural competence. You must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.


Key Responsibilities
