Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to build a bright future for WA’s digital entertainment industry.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleSalary: $170,000 - $190,000 per annum plus superAs a Principal Engineer in our Platform Enablement team you will be working with multiple engineering squads to uncover common engineering problems faced across the division and to expand our technology platform to offer solutions that help squads deliver features to their customers in a faster manner whilst striving for technical excellence.Your primary customers will be Team Leads and other Principal Engineers within the Technology Division and you will work closely with the Engineering Managers to define the technical architecture and roadmaps for the various systems that they own.Responsibilities for this role will include:Identifying and evaluating new technologies and methodologies that could benefit the organisation's technical capabilitiesParticipating in architectural decision-making processes and contributing to the overall technical strategy of the companyDeveloping and maintaining technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design patterns, and coding standardsCollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectivesPresenting technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersContinuously improving the development process, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment strategiesProactively identifying and mitigating potential technical risks and bottlenecks in the development lifecycleQualificationsAbout YouProven experience working with a number of different stakeholders to collaboratively drive solutions that align to technical best practice as well as being fit for purpose to the environment that they are applied toAt least 8 years of experience in a complex application development, implementation and support environment, at a Senior level.Demonstrated experience in application analysis, design, development and deployment using technologies aligned with RWWA’s stack.Ability to provide design and coding leadership, intelligent problem-solving, and management of people in a team environment.Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated experience in designing systems for highly available, scalable, and high-performance cloud offerings, including AWS and/or AzureStrong experience in designing, coding, and testing C# services and applications across a range of .Net versions.Understanding of software application analysis, design, development, and deployment using any of following languages: C#, ASP.Net, Python, and/or YAML.Strong experience and a passion for developing web applications using modern frameworks, tools, and technologies including React, Typescript, Redux, Jest, Emotion (or other CSS-in-JS libraries) and HTML5.Experience with React Native or Native iOS/Android development will be well regarded.Additional InformationWhat are you waiting for?Apply now with your CV and cover letter telling us why you’re the perfect fit for this opportunity.For more information visit TABtouch Careers or contact us at TalentAcquisition@rwwa.com.auAs part of the recruitment process, you will be required to complete Pre-Employment screening, which will include two reference checks, police clearance and Australian Working Rights check.Please note this role is only open to applicants that hold Australian Working Rights, and we are unable to offer Work Sponsorship Visa's.Additional BenefitsAccess to a world class L&D platform in Udemy BusinessHybrid and flexible work arrangements17.5% loading on Annual LeaveHealth and Wellness initiatives to support you inside and outReward and Recognition ProgramAt Racing and Wagering WA, we recognise that we are strengthened by diversity of gender, thought, experience, and ethnicity.
