Mechanical Fitter – Strip & Assess (Pulley Workshop)
About the company
A long-standing Australian manufacturer supplying conveyor components to the mining and bulk materials sector. The business continues to invest in Lean improvements, equipment upgrades and workshop efficiency while maintaining a practical, safety-first culture. Their pulley division manages both new builds and refurbishment work for major clients across the country.
About the role
This position sits in the Strip & Assess area, where pulleys returned from site are stripped down, cleaned and inspected to determine what can be refurbished and what requires replacement. You'll complete assessments using a pre-built digital report, document findings and add photos before the report moves on to engineering and estimating for client approval.
The role suits a skilled mechanical fitter who enjoys hands-on work and methodical inspection, with the opportunity to step into a Leading Hand position once established.
