Construction Quality Assurance Technician
Applicants must be prepared for FIFO work—this role is site-focused, with around 80% of your time spent on in‐state or interstate project sites.
What You'll Do
* Support the delivery of construction projects by helping implement project plans and programs
* Assist with site activities while following WSP, client, and government safety requirements
* Identify safety hazards, and report incidents in line with OH&S standards
* Keep accurate records of site activities, focusing on Quality Assurance and Quality Control
* Carry out QA inspections and testing for earthworks, geosynthetics installation, and general construction
* Communicate site progress to senior engineers and project managers
* Support internal teams with office‐based tasks, data analysis, and report preparation
* Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
* Help prepare tenders, reports, cost estimates, and construction methodologies
* Perform other duties as needed to support project delivery
What You'll Bring
* 2–6 years' experience, including 4+ years on construction sites
* Experience with bulk earthworks, field testing, sampling, and geosynthetics
* Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear field reports
* A strong focus on safety and quality
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good time management and organisation skills
* A current driver's licence

* Trade certificates
* Nuclear density gauge licence
* Training such as forklift, EWP, working at heights, or confined space
