We pride ourselves on employing and upskilling local talent.SWK has a rewarding chance for Concrete Labourers to join the team.This position requires a positive attitude towards maintaining high standards of work ethics with the successful applicant being able to work on challenging projects with a great team.Key Responsibilities:We are seeking concrete labourers to carry out a variety of manual labouring tasks including:General labouring duties including wheel barrowing and shovelling.Assist with the set out and installation of formwork, boxing, and levels for concrete pours.Assist with carrying out concreting works including form, pour, and place concrete lintels, form steel and pour concrete pits and structures, form and pour kerb etc.Mix, place, screed, and finish, concrete using appropriate tools and techniques under the supervision of a concreterUse of all tools associated with concretingWe Are Looking For Someone Who Has:Previous experience in the construction industry, specifically concreting (highly desirable)Work with a team and also independentlyPhysically able to perform the duties of the roleStrong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practicesA proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiativeA valid Construction White CardAbility to travel to the Yard (Narellan) or siteWorking rights in AustraliaWorking safely and complying with all site safety standardsTools of the Trade: Access to the latest technology, tools and equipment to help you work efficiently and productively.Wellbeing Support: Access to our Employee Assistance Program to support your mental health and wellbeing.Financial Incentives:Access to paid income protection insurance and earn up to $1,000 for every successful referral through our employee referral program.Unlimited Paid Wet Weather Days: If weather conditions prevent work, you'll still receive your base wage for 8 hours - no limitCommunity Partnerships: Partnerships with the Black Dog Institute and Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation to give back to our community.Connect & Celebrate:Partnerships with community programs including Black Dog Institute and Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation to give back to our communityGrowth: Endless career opportunities, ongoing training, mentoring and development to help you progress.Additional Information:Applicants should submit a current resumeApplicants are required to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including a drug and alcohol screening, as a prerequisite for this position to ensure they can safely perform the duties of the roleApplicants must be authorised to work in Australia and reside in the geographic area relevant to the position.WEM Civil is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
