What are nights at Commonfolk Frankston?
Think: like wine and something to nibble at your cool mates digs.
Our evenings are designed to be relaxed but elevated, blending the soul of a Euro wine bar with the charm of Franga hospitality (yes we think Frankston's charming, deal with it). Winter feels moody and candle lit. Summer is bright and buzzing, with the windows open to Playne Street. Guests arrive to a welcome nip, and a bowl of house pickles. The night revolves around good wine, share plates and a team that genuinely enjoys talking flavours, producers and pairings.
This role is the evening equivalent of our cafe manager position. They champion coffee by day. You champion wine by night.
What can you expect from this role?
* Deliver a world‑class night‑time experience rooted in Commonfolk hospitality
* Lead a small, passionate team across floor, bar and kitchen
* Develop the next generation of hospitality leaders
* Build a healthy work culture centred on community, quality and innovation
* Smash sales targets and keep costs in check
* Work with the team to improve our food and beverage offering every week

A bit about us and our values
At Commonfolk, we have built everything around community, quality and ethical sourcing. We take our coffee seriously and we take our booze just as seriously. Great products should taste good and do good for the hands that crafted them.
In the evenings, our beverage program leans heavily into minimal and lo‑fi wine, seasonal ingredients, local beers, creative batched cocktails and producers who care about craft as much as we do.
