Project Coordinator - Fruit & Veg (12‑month fixed‑term)
Join Woolworths Group as a Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of new and existing product development within the Own Brand portfolio, focusing on fruit & vegetable initiatives.
What You'll Do
The Project Management Team delivers on‑time delivery of new products. As a Project Coordinator you will assist project managers and the natural working team in facilitating cross‑functional collaboration, coordinating project activities, and supporting the launch of BAU, EPD and NPD packaging and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and map projects with Commercial teams; translate commercial objectives into actionable produce development plans.
* Prioritise based on capability, capacity and project type; evaluate feasibility and alignment with strategic objectives.
* Define project requirements, type and specifications through collaboration with CM, ACM, agronomists, policy, growers and pack houses.
* Ensure seasonal timelines are met and capacity is effectively planned.
* Act as supplier liaison, facilitating communication and guiding suppliers through Woolworths Food processes; manage the Supplier Self‑Assessment process.
* Act as central point of contact for cross‑functional collaboration among Own Brand, Category, Packaging, Technical, Supply Chain and Marketing.
* Identify opportunities to optimise produce development and implementation processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
* Support the Project Manager with day‑to‑day tasks, including updating project timelines, facilitating WIP, assisting actions from WIP, engaging suppliers, and creating project reports.
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Horticulture, Business) or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in produce development, product or project management.
* Proven project coordination and deadline‑management skills; strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Expertise with Google Sheets for data analysis.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
