Make a Difference as a Youth Worker
This role offers an opportunity to support young people with medium to high needs in a therapeutic care setting.
You will provide supervision, support, and trauma-informed care, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the young people in your care. You will build caring relationships and promote self-esteem, health, and life skills.
Your responsibilities will include transporting young people to school and appointments, completing shift reports, and mandatory incident reports.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Cert IV in Youth Work or a relevant tertiary qualification.
* At least 3 years of practical experience working with children/young people in a community service setting.
* Strong teamwork, self-regulation in stressful situations, mentoring abilities, and excellent communication skills.
* A valid driver's licence.
* A current Working With Children clearance through the Office of the Children's Guardian (NSW).
