We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health and Safety leader to drive transformational change, champion our organisational values, and lead a high-performing team focused on improving safety in high-risk work and mental health outcomes.
This role is crucial in promoting and embodying our organisational values within the business. It involves leading the Health and Safety team and supporting the broader team to meet our targets. The role emphasizes driving transformational change in Occupational Health & Safety, focusing on high-risk work and mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining planning tools for H&S operational service delivery across TasWater Divisions.
* Establishing and maintaining effective operational rhythms with business Divisions for seamless communication and collaboration.
* Applying specialist expertise in high-risk industrial environments, risk management practices, and methodologies.
* Leading and inspiring the Health and Safety team to embed organisational values and foster a proactive safety culture.
* Driving continuous improvement through innovative health and safety initiatives aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Tertiary qualifications in health and safety, occupational hygiene, or related fields, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
* Significant experience in high-risk environments such as utilities, mining, construction, energy, or logistics.
* Operational background is highly regarded.
* Ability to interpret and apply H&S legislation, policies, and standards relevant to the workplace.
* Expertise in workplace mental health and wellbeing initiatives.

The Role Can Be Based In:
Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport, with Launceston or Devonport preferred.
Salary Range:
$124,474 - $138,304 (including superannuation), negotiable based on experience.
