Global Solutions Engineering Demo Team is a world-class leader in delivering innovative, demonstration-centric experiences of Cisco solutions to customers, providing a full-suite, integrated sales-enablement portfolio. The team demonstrates how Cisco products can enhance productivity, helping sales teams and partners enlarge sales opportunities and shorten sales cycles. The Cisco dCloud platform offers scripted, customizable demos accessible from any network, device, or location, improving experiences and driving business growth.

Your Impact

The Proof-of-Concept Engineer is a Solution Engineer responsible for developing, planning, designing, delivering, and coordinating Customer Proof of Concept (CPoC) Labs, primarily focusing on Data Center architecture, but potentially including other technologies. This role involves extensive collaboration with Business Units, Content Developers, Partners, and customers throughout the POC process, from introduction to build, testing, and delivery. The engineer will work closely with account teams to understand customer needs and testing requirements.

Job Responsibilities

* Project Management (10%) : Organize and prioritize project tasks, communicate goals effectively, and ensure all third-party developers report status accurately.
* Engineering (50%) : Design, develop, document, and deliver content related to Data Center solutions. Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements and create design & test plans, managing the POC from start to finish.
* Platform Design (20%) : Document and plan projects using standard templates and tools, justifying designs before implementation.
* Support (10%) : Serve as the first point of contact for escalations, work with teams to resolve issues, and update documentation and knowledge bases accordingly.
* Other (5%) : Act as a liaison with third parties and develop content independently.

Minimum Qualifications

* CCIE Level or equivalent experience in networking and data center technologies.
* Proficiency in AI-Ready Data Center technologies like Nvidia Infiniband, Hyperfabric, etc.
* Experience with Nexus standalone and VXLAN Fabric-based SDN solutions.
* Knowledge of Cisco solutions such as Nexus Dashboard, ACI, EVPN, UCS, SDA, SDWAN, ThousandEyes, AppD, and network appliances.
* Understanding of multi-cloud environments and virtualization technologies (AWS, Azure, Google, VMware, KVM, Docker).
* Familiarity with network testing tools like Spirent, IXIA, Keysight, etc.
