Account Manager

to bring vibrant energy and creative spark to our growing

Technology PR team. The

Account Manager

will be responsible for carrying out activities to assist our clients with achieving their communication goals. They will deliver the highest quality of work and outstanding results. The key purpose of the position is to independently manage and drive the implementation of ongoing pre-agreed activity involved in the basic day-to-day running of accounts. What you’ll do: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients with a view to grow accounts. Facilitate conversations to manage client expectations and budgets. Lead any phase of the project cycle, working autonomously with minimal guidance from client leads. Must have the ability to independently liaise with clients regarding allocated activities. Develop and own project timelines, ensuring team members deliver work on time and to deadline – or before. Report to and communicate with the client on allocated tasks as appropriate including attendance at client/supplier meetings (where relevant) and provision of timely and accurate contact reports, evaluation reports, WIP documents, etc. Create post-campaign reports with the support of team. Support optimisations on campaigns and projects and provide recommendations to client for improvements based on key learnings. Guide and support our AC as required to deliver on client work and manage outcomes. Quality assurance of all work including ensuring client feedback is accurately captured in all rounds of revision. Build solid and successful working relationships with your team, other internal teams, vendors and clients. Manage financial activities including reports, invoices and budgets for clients. Schedule, organise and run regular client meetings and calls, providing consultative advice, updating WIPs, note taking and managing client feedback. Public Relations: Lead media relations including; media pitches, media briefs, research, track media coverage and deliver to clients in a timely manner. Prepare briefing materials for meetings with journalists and other public relations professionals as they arise and prepare recommendations. Prepare press kits containing background information about the client company or organisation. Develop and edit media materials and written content, such as newsletters, blog posts, press releases, social media posts, fact sheets, or media alerts. Lead event management and logistics including developing any marketing material required. Ability to determine a client’s PR requirements and prioritise tasks and work to deadlines factoring in time for senior lead review. Identify communication trends and educate/inform clients and agency colleagues and partners on changes and trends. Manage a media relations campaign and pitch stories independently. Implement and develop PR strategies with daily media liaison across print, online, TV, radio, podcasts and influencer outreach including selling in all media and leveraging networks to maximise client coverage. Produce compelling and succinct monthly reports for all PR clients including key learnings, insights and recommendations. Manage the

Apply excellent knowledge of the media including how the media operates, how to place stories, establish interviews, and tailor media materials for specific media outlets. What you’ll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field is preferred, or the equivalent knowledge and/or experience. Minimum of 3 years of industry experience preferably in an agency setting. Strong oral, writing, and editing skills. Ability to form strong internal relationships. Ability to supervise and motivate the work of account staff. Ability to handle and manage stressful situations. Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously. Strong ability to develop and deliver presentations and pitches to clients. Ability to think creatively and strategically. Ability to manage the day to day running of accounts and client interaction with support from other team members. Have experience directing and delegating work to ensure client KPIs are met. Ability to deliver research, writing and delivery of new business pitches. Highly competent in all forms of public relations writing (e.g. media releases and pitches, fact sheets, backgrounders, Q&As;, speeches, white papers) and verbal communications skills.
