The Opportunity
We're looking for a Service Provider Risk Manager to join our Corporate Services Risk team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Services Risk, this role plays a key part in strengthening UniSuper's approach to service provider and third‑party risk, with a strong focus on compliance with APRA CPS 230.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to uplift service provider risk controls, manage incidents, and deliver clear, insightful reporting to senior management and governance committees. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced risk professional who enjoys working across the organisation and driving meaningful, practical outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring compliance with CPS 230 and broader legislative, regulatory and policy requirements for material service providers
* Leading service provider risk incident investigations, including root cause analysis and remediation actions
* Preparing and presenting regular service provider risk reporting, including emerging risks and control effectiveness
* Partnering with business units to enhance third‑party governance, operational risk and resilience controls
* Overseeing the centralised service provider risk management system and ongoing monitoring activities
* Supporting Line 1 risk and contract managers with guidance, training and risk management best practice
* Contributing to APRA reporting relating to service providers in collaboration with internal compliance teams
About You
You're an experienced operational risk professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a proactive mindset.
You'll bring:
* At least 3 years' experience in operational risk, ideally within superannuation or financial services
* A solid understanding of risk management frameworks, controls and regulatory requirements
* Experience working with service provider or third‑party risk
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* The ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
* Confidence managing multiple priorities in a complex environment
* Relevant tertiary qualifications are required.
