Job Description
This position is a full‐time, permanent role within the YMCA of Western Australia's Purpose Built Early Learning Centre in Port Hedland. You will act as the Room Leader, fostering a safe, hygienic, and inspiring environment for children and supporting high‐quality educational programs.
Responsibilities
You will lead the early childhood team, ensuring that children enjoy a safe, hygienic, and inspiring environment. Your day will include:
* Promoting the "School ReadY" initiative and maintaining exemplary compliance with the National Quality Framework and National Education & Care Services Regulations 2012.
* Developing and implementing high‐quality programs for children aged 0‐5 years.
* Engaging positively with children, families and the wider community to support children's development in body, mind, and spirit.
* Managing daily operations, including overseeing nutrition, hygiene and cleanliness.
Qualifications
* Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
* HLTAID012 First Aid certificate or equivalent.
* Understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Education & Care Services Regulations 2012.
* Previous experience working in child services, specifically developing and implementing programs for 0‐5 year olds.
* Capability to obtain a National Police Certificate and Working with Children card.
* Enthusiastic, passionate, and capable of motivating a close‐knit team.
