About the role
Reporting to the Business Performance and Planning Manager you will be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of a recently implemented Databricks Data Lakehouse. Leveraging data within the Lakehouse, the role assists in the design, development, and release of a suite of Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights for business users.
Responsibilities
* Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements, drivers of business performance and productivity, translating them into actionable data solutions.
* Support the development and refinement of data models within Databricks to ensure accuracy, scalability, and relevance.
* Create queries to extract data from data sources within Databricks.
* Partner with Business Performance Analysts to identify data points required for ingestion into Databricks; develop data models in Databricks Gold Layer; and ensure data integrity and alignment with enterprise data architecture.
* Assist in the design, development and maintenance of intuitive Tableau dashboards that provide clear visibility into business performance and productivity.
Skills & experience
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Commerce or Business.
* Demonstrated expertise in Tableau, including dashboard development, data source integration, and best practice visualisation design.
* Proficient in SQL, with experience working across database platforms.
* Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
* Demonstrated ability to translate complex datasets into compelling business stories and actionable insights.
* Practical experience using cloud-based analytics platforms such as Databricks, or similar (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
