The Facility Logistics Operator is responsible for assisting in the management of all aspects of warehousing, storage, manufacturing, and distribution of explosive products and materials, including loading/unloading and transporting products to mine sites.The role operates on a 5/2 roster. Candidates must reside in Mount Isa.This position offers a future opportunity to transition into both the Open Cut and Underground mining sectors across Australia, providing valuable experience within the mining industry.What you will be doingReceiving and dispatching stock into the magazine from weekly deliveries, including operating a forklift, positioning pallets with a pallet trolley, and manually handling unpacked deliveries.Organizing and consolidating weekly shipments onto pallets for delivery to customer sites, involving manual handling of deliveries onto pallets.Operating all fixed and mobile plant machinery used to mix, package, and distribute our products.Maintaining consistent stock and supply of explosives through AMEX Plant Manufacturing, including product selection, plant setup, and cleanup, operating telescopic handling equipment, and manually handling 20kg bags.Loading and unloading delivery trucks using a forklift.Transporting Orica products to customer sites, including underground locations.Compiling delivery dockets and inputting stock information into Orica's SAP system.What you will bringYou share our core value of ‘Safety is our priority, Always’;A current QSEC card or the ability to obtain one;A current HR licence is highly regarded;A forklift licence and warehouse operation experience are highly regarded;Willingness to undertake one or two overnight trips per month;Ability to learn to drive underground;A clean police record and ability to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.Our commitmentOrica promotes a culture of inclusion and Equal Opportunity Employment worldwide.
