About the Position
This role involves finding a balance between business needs and customer satisfaction, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while identifying new business opportunities.
You will work closely with the Sales Team to drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency through collaboration. The key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining a safe working environment by implementing safety protocols.
* Developing and maintaining market knowledge, including competitor analysis, supplier relationships, industry trends, and product information.
* Monitoring customer service standards and conducting regular review meetings with customers to ensure mutual objectives are met.
* Ensuring exceptional customer service and timely response to customer needs.
* Facilitating development opportunities for internal sales staff, including training and feedback sessions.
* Preparing sales forecasts and tracking actual volumes against forecasts.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and engaging team player with a customer-centric focus, who has a passion for account management and relationship-building.
Key Requirements
* A proven sales record in steel, construction, or manufacturing industries (preferred but not essential).
* Effective time management and communication skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Knowledge of SAP and CRM, Power BI systems (highly regarded).
* Possess a systematic and logical thought process in problem-solving.
* Maintain uncompromising standards on employee safety, quality, ethics, and fairness.
* Strong demonstration of achieving revenue and volume-driven KPIs.
* Financial & business acumen (including high-level numeracy skills).
* A valid driver's license.
