Overview

Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com / job / 32t4o7 In this pivotal role, you will deliver expert nursing consultancy services, facilitating safe care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and liaising with various agencies to support patient discharge and integration back into the community.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct emergency psychiatric assessments and develop crisis intervention plans for at-risk patients.
* liaise with the Emergency Telehealth Service to ensure safe clinical care.
* Coordinate psychiatric emergency responses and provide in-reach specialist nursing advice.
* Develop and maintain clinical pathways and guidelines within mental health services.
* Participate in the education and development of nursing staff in mental health practices.

Qualifications and Experience

* Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Extensive experience in acute mental health nursing, including risk assessment and crisis intervention for all age groups.
* Proven experience in liaising with community services to support secure discharge care for mental health clients.
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong clinical leadership abilities, fostering effective teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.
* Proven track record in quality improvement and evidence-based practice within mental health services.
* Familiarity with clinical applications and information systems relevant to mental health care.
