Plant Operator – Excavator
Location: Bundaberg, QLD
About the Role
SGQ Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Bundaberg team. You will support civil, road and bridge projects across the region, operating plant safely and efficiently while contributing to day-to-day site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate excavator and associated civil plant in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and site requirements.
· Perform general labouring/construction duties when not operating plant.
· Follow SGQ's integrated WHS, Environmental and Quality systems (ISO 45001, 9001,
· Maintain plant to a high standard to support reliability, safety and client expectations.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members and internal stakeholders.
· Report incidents, near misses or hazards promptly to the Supervisor.
· Comply with national fatigue management obligations and relevant legislation.

What We're Looking For:
Mandatory:
* Minimum Year 10 education.
* QLD White Card – Work Safely in the Construction Industry (Or Equivalent)
* VOC/competency ticket for Excavator Operations.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
* Certificate III in Civil Construction.
* Broader civil construction experience (roads, bridges, earthworks) and plant operation experience
