Hardware Engineer
Advanced Design Technology Pty Ltd – a growing privately owned Australian company specialising in design, development, manufacture of advanced electronic systems for harsh environments. The role is based in Fyshwick, Canberra. Relocation within Australia may be supported.
Mandatory
* Right to live and work in Australia.
* NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance or eligibility to hold one.
Key Projects
* Large scale and distributed signal processing
* Embedded signal processing
* Network infrastructure (Layer 2 & 3)
* High speed 5G & 6G communications and surveillance systems
Key Responsibilities
* Design of mixed signal (analog and digital), communication and signal electronic circuits
* Design of complex multilayer circuit boards
* Work with mechanical and system engineers
* Testing, verification and integration of circuits and assemblies, from prototype to production and deployment
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Electronics or Communications Engineering or related discipline; near completion may be considered.
* Thorough understanding of electronics fundamentals, including circuit design and PCB layout.
* Knowledge of high pin‑count components (>3000 balls).
* Experience with high speed PCB design, signal integrity/electromagnetics using industry tools (2.5D).
* High initiative and work ethic.
* Logical problem‑solving approach.
* Inquiring mind and commitment to continued learning.
* Team collaboration and communication skills.
Desirable
* 4 years experience designing multilayer PCBs.
