As a Senior Secondary Systems Design Engineer you will undertake a variety of works associated with the construction and maintenance of Evoenergy's Electrical Network. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of maintaining a future focused electricity network for the ACT.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare designs for zone substation secondary systems including protection, control, communications systems and auxiliary DC and AC supply systems
* Prepare designs for the construction of major zone substation assets including circuit breakers, power transformers, switchgear, structures and earthing
* Perform design reviews and approvals in accordance with Evoenergy and industry standards
* Support project delivery teams during construction
* Prepare and update design templates, manuals and internal standards
Our ideal candidate:
* You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community, championing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
* You hold an Electrical Engineering Degree
* Experience in the design of high voltage electrical substations
* Understanding and knowledge of secondary systems for high voltage protection and control
* Strong computer skills and experienced with using AutoCAD
* Proven ability with managing stakeholders
