Overview
At Genus Environmental, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality arboricultural services with a strong focus on safety and compliance. We are currently seeking dedicated and safety-conscious Vegetation Workers (e.g. HV Workers / Climbing Arborists / EWP Operators / Squirrel Operators / Chipper Truck Drivers) to join our team in the Perth Metro area. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vital role that includes all facets of Urban Tree Management.
Key Responsibilities
* Safety Awareness and Compliance: Actively maintain compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards, ensuring all tasks are completed in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. Ensure strict adherence to relevant Codes of Practice for personnel including electrical safety when working around live power lines.
* Health & Safety Responsibility: Take personal responsibility for your health and safety, as well as the well-being of your colleagues on site.
* Quality Assurance: Deliver work that meets contractual obligations, company standards, and customer expectations.
* Hazard Identification & Action: Proactively identify hazards and stop work if any uncontrolled risks are present, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
* Supervisor Support: Collaborate with supervisors to ensure all work meets high-quality standards and customer specifications.
* Professionalism & Housekeeping: Maintain a high level of professionalism in your work and appearance while ensuring that the site remains clean and organized.
* Pre-start Equipment Checks: Conduct thorough pre-start checks on all vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure safe operations on-site.

Experience & Qualifications
* First Aid / CPR Certification
* Construction White Card
* Cert II in ESI - Powerline Vegetation Control (UET20319)
* EDD - UETTDRRF08 / EWP Rescue - UETDRRF002
* Chainsaw Ticket
* Experience working near live power lines is advantageous.
* Arboriculture qualification or equivalent experience advantageous.
