Overview
Ocean Mind is a not-for-profit organisation running Surf Therapy programs for young people aged 8-18 years who may experience mental health issues, social isolation, or disabilities in the Mornington Peninsula region. Our programs are free of charge, supported by a volunteer team.
Responsibilities
* As an Ocean Mind driver, pick up surfing participants aged 8-18 from their homes, take them to the beach for a surf therapy session, and safely return them home.
* Each session lasts about 2 hours, and you can help on land or in the water, or simply assist as you prefer.
* Programs are held on weekends, either from 9:00 am to 11:00 am or 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, on the Mornington Peninsula.
* We offer transport from the Mornington Peninsula region and occasionally from the Frankston area.
* The cost for bus hire and/or the use of your own vehicle is covered by Ocean Mind.
