Support Worker Opportunity
This role involves providing one-to-one support to an adult living with cerebral palsy who requires daily personal care, mobility assistance, and structured routines in their own home.
The participant enjoys a quiet lifestyle, watching Netflix, movies, and engaging in conversations. Their home is fully modified with ramps, rails, and an accessible bathroom.
Key aspects of this role include:
* Assisting with morning routines and personal care
* Providing non-weight bearing support and assistance with mobility
* Supporting with meals, routine tasks, and maintaining a safe home environment
* Behavioural support, including addressing anxiety and frustration triggers
* Prompting and monitoring medication as required
* Monitoring seizure history and overall wellbeing
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work independently. You should also have experience working with adults with disabilities and be able to adapt to changing situations.
