Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator with experience in working in steel recycling. The ideal candidate will have experience operating excavators with the use of shears and grabber attachments. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, high level of accountability, and the ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing. There are multiple positions available for an immediate start with genuine opportunities to gain full-time employment. Responsibilities Operate and maintain machinery and equipment, including shears, according to safety regulations Transport scrap metal materials to and from specified locations using a excavators/machinery Perform regular maintenance checks on shearers, machinery, and equipment Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards and procedures, particularly when dealing with scrap metal Assist with other tasks on site as required to support scrap metal operations and transportation Qualifications Experience operating excavators Forklift licence an advantage Experience working with scrap metal and operating shearers (desirable) Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing Proven reliability and accountability Strong commitment to safety practices Successful candidate must have unlimited Australian working rights, this position would not be suitable for those on student visas or with other work restrictions.
