We require a Food Technologist (QA/QC) to join our team in our Sydney facility. We are an Australian owned leading food company supplying innovative ingredients to the food industry.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Food Technologist to support the development, testing, and quality assurance of dry food ingredients and blends. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build hands-on experience in food formulation, ingredient functionality, and quality control within a manufacturing or R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development and testing of dry ingredient formulations (spice blends, premixes, powders, seasonings, etc.)
* Conduct basic laboratory analyses such as moisture, particle size, bulk density, and solubility tests
* Support quality control checks of raw materials and finished dry products
* Assist with pilot trials and scale-up activities
* Maintain accurate records of formulations, test results, and specifications
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and GMP requirements
* Support shelf-life and stability studies for dry ingredients
* Assist in investigating quality deviations and corrective actions
* Work closely with senior technologists, QA, and production teams
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulations, and labelling requirements
* Monitor and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and consistency
* Perform quality control testing on raw materials and finished products
* Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and marketing teams
* Document product specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and test results
* Investigate and resolve product quality issues or customer complaints
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
* Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply
* Basic knowledge of food chemistry and food processing
* Familiarity with dry ingredient handling and storage (preferred but not required)
