We are seeking a business leader to drive the success of our Scotch Whisky portfolio, leveraging Diageo's global brand power and innovation capabilities.
About Our Portfolio:
Our Scotch Whisky portfolio is led by Johnnie Walker Black Label, the #1 blended scotch in the market. We aim to build brand meaning and continue recruiting at scale to retain and grow share. Additionally, we must build luxury credentials for Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Single Malts represent 20% of our Scotch Whisky portfolio, with significant headroom for growth. Focus brands The Singleton, Talisker, and Lagavulin offer opportunities to take on global future giants and lead growth in this aspirational category.
The portfolio also includes local and global gems such as Dimple, J&B, Bells, Crown Royal, and Bulleit Bourbon. These enviable brands contribute to our performance and market share objectives.
Role Requirements:
1. Beat the competition in terms of Value Share and Brand Strength Score - Equity
2. Drive accelerated and sustainable value, recruitment, and constant penetration
3. Lead annual strategies & plans, alongside multifunctional teams
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Comprehensive marketing and financial decision-making experience
2. Proven success in building talent, mentoring, and leading teams
3. Proven success in building powerful emotional-benefit brands
4. Proven success in leading businesses delivering demanding P&L (GM mindset)
5. Highly consistent record of influencing across functions and markets
6. Strategic problem solver with deep consumer understanding
7. Highly driven, with a restlessness to win
8. Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
9. Ability to direct external agencies on marketing comms and activation plans
10. Ability to encourage creative flair from agencies to build brand fame
