Your Opportunity
Cafe Barista & Cafe Attendants (multiple opportunities)
As the Food and Beverage Attendant, you will:
Uphold the highest quality standards for the food and beverage operations inside our café.
You will work with your team members to deliver a high quality service experience to both guests and students as well as participate in the day to day operations in front of house Food and Beverage areas.
Monday - Friday day shift
The position reports to the Operations Manager, TAFE Queensland Gold Coast.
This is a Casual Opportunity unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at the Robina Campus Seedpod Cafe however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Showcase a warm and friendly style of service which curates an unforgettable and personalised experience for our guests from start to finish.
Setting up the café, restaurant or event centre ready for service
Restocking mis-en-place
Work with and maintain a 'best practice' approach to Food and Beverage operations.
Participate in the delivery of any internal and external functions at the campus
Receive orders and serve customer requests completely in a timely manner.
Understand menu content, any menu changes and promotional activities.
Work collaboratively with the key operations staff to facilitate continuous improvement.
The ability to multi-task and cope with high pressure service situations without compromising standards, productivity or quality.
Keep your service area clean, tidy and well prepared.
Efficiently manage the proper settlement of all customer accounts.
Answer guest queries in a polite and helpful manner.
Barista experience highly regarded
Understand and implement all legislation in regards to the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Previous experience in food and beverage service
Demonstrated customer service skills with a passion for delivering and creating special experiences for guests
Proactive and highly motivated with a willingness to part of a team with a winning attitude.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with a range of guests.
Flexible, reliable and responsive to a range of work situations
Previous food hygiene and cash handling experience
Highly Desirable Requirements
2-3 years experience in a similar fast paced hospitality environment
Solid Barista skills
