About the Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our high-performing Finance team as an Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager and working closely with the GM Finance & Administration, you will support a range of financial and reporting activities. With our international footprint, this role offers valuable exposure to IFRS and statutory reporting — experience that can be difficult to gain within many Australian organisations. This is a permanent, full-time position based on-site at our St Kilda Road office. Key Responsibilities: Preparing month-end journals, including accruals and depreciation Maintaining the fixed asset register, including issuing asset codes, recording additions and disposals, and calculating depreciation Preparing monthly reconciliations, including fixed asset reconciliations Preparing monthly Capital Expenditure board paper Assisting in invoice coding for audit/non-audit fees Assisting in managing the intercompany reporting and intercompany matrix for key members of the finance team Supporting the finance team to deliver the month-end and year-end close processes Assisting with budgeting and forecasting Continuously improving procedures, systems and activities to deliver best in class results Other ad hoc tasks About You: Recent Graduate of a Bachelors degree in Accounting or have 1-2 years experience in a similar role and is interested (or currently undertaking) in pursuing their CPA qualifications Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Sound practical knowledge of accounting systems Advanced Excel skills Exposure to the FMCG or Retail sector (desirable) A proactive approach and willingness to learn Perks Generous staff discount and access to our sample sales Central office location based on St Kilda Rd, with direct access to the picturesque Fawkner Park Work closely within a high performing, supportive and collaborative environment Engage in continuous learning and development programs to enhance your skills and foster personal and professional growth Coffee lover?
