S&ME is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join our continuously growing team in Charlotte. Requisition Number:. Responsibilities
* Project Leadership: Manage full project lifecycles, including planning, budgeting, client relations, and technical execution.
* Technical Fieldwork: Conduct complex site characterizations, groundwater/surface water studies, leachate and gas assessments, and compliance evaluations.
* Reporting & Permitting: Develop detailed environmental reports, permit applications, and technical documentation.
* Proposal Development: Lead and support proposals for complex, high-value projects.
* Team Development: Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge-sharing across disciplines.
* Client Engagement: Build lasting relationships with clients and represent S&ME at industry events and professional organizations.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
* Experience in nuclear and/or waste management markets is a plus
* Professional Geologist (PG) license in North Carolina
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail; and ability to meet deadlines
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to learn additional software applications
