Family Safety Advocate Role Overview
This role is focused on providing support and advocacy for women and children experiencing family or domestic violence. As a Family Safety Advocate, you will work collaboratively with clients to develop and implement safety plans, provide education and information, and make referrals as necessary.
Key aspects of this role include delivering person-centered support, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions, and maintaining effective communication with colleagues and clients.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement personalized safety plans for clients
* Provide education and information on family and domestic violence and its impacts
* Make referrals to relevant services and support networks
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives
* Conduct thorough case management and documentation
Requirements:
* Certificate III in community services (or willingness to obtain)
* Knowledge of family and domestic violence dynamics and impacts
* Strong computer literacy skills
* Understanding of Wheatbelt region geography and towns
* Valid driver's license
