Whilst children develop at their own pace, some experience challenges and need additional support.
The Child Development Service are seeking friendly, passionate and skilled Occupational Therapists who can support infants, children and young people with developmental concerns to reach their full potential.
The available positions offer the opportunity for clinicians to provide assessment and treatment sessions, group-based interventions, and to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive, values-based organisation that serves a diverse range of consumers with varying clinical complexity.
About the Child Development Service
The Child Development Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention services to infants, children and young people with developmental delay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and / or the parent-child relationship.
Clinicians adopt a child and family-centred approach, working in partnership with families to address developmental concerns that are of priority to the family.
Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals.
The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.

Eligibility to Apply
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed-term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process.
As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment.
We may ask referees to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.

This position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
Open Recruitment Pool
The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2027.

Selection Criteria Questions
Do you hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and eligible for registration by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia? (Refers to Essential Criteria 1).
Please outline your knowledge of and ability to plan, assess, implement and evaluate Occupational Therapy services for children with developmental concerns, delays and disorders. (Refers to Essential Criteria 2).
Please outline your experience working effectively and collaboratively with peers, team members, families and staff. (Refers to Essential Criteria 4).
Please outline your experience managing your time and your clinical caseload while working within workplace standards, policy and procedures. (Refers to Essential Criteria 5).
Do you hold a current and valid driver's licence? (Refers to Essential Criteria 7).
Additionally, please provide a current resume which summarises your experience and includes both phone and email contact details of two professional referees, with at least one being a recent supervisor / line manager.
