At Birallee Tavern, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.
Job Description:
As a senior culinary leader, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus that showcase the best of seasonal produce. You will also oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency in every dish served.
You will work closely with our management team to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain high food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in similar roles, with a strong focus on leadership, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef ready to step up
* At least 4 years post-apprenticeship
* Strong leadership skills, with a calm and respectful approach
* Excellent organisational skills, with a passion for consistency and quality
* Sound understanding of kitchen financials, including P&L and food costing
* Experience maintaining high food safety standards and OHS compliance
