About the role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Secretary to join our team at Mackay ENT Management Services'. This full-time position is based in North Mackay, QLD 4740. As the Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of our medical practice.
What you'll be doing
* Providing exceptional administrative support to our doctors and healthcare team
* Managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling and confirming appointments
* Handling patient enquiries and providing exceptional customer service
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient files
* Assisting with the preparation of medical reports and correspondence
* Performing general office duties such as scanning, photocopying and data entry
* Ensuring the medical practice operates in an organised and professional manner
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, doctors and the wider healthcare team
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
* Proficient in using medical software and computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
* A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
* A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
