About Us:
Yarraman Park Stud is a Thoroughbred Stud Farm located 10 minutes from Scone, we are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Head Gardener.
The Role:
As the Head Gardener you will be responsible for hedges to trees and lawns. You'll lead a small team of gardeners, making sure everything stays in shape across the stud, and you'll have the chance to get creative with seasonal planting and landscaping projects. If you love working outdoors, taking care of plants, and being part of a team that keeps things running smoothly, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and improve the gardens, lawns, hedges, and trees around the stud.
* Plan and implement seasonal planting schemes and general garden design projects.
* Maintain garden tools and machinery.
* Ensure that all outdoor spaces are tidy, safe, and welcoming, ready for client visits.
* Work closely with the farm and horse staff, to make sure the whole stud is in great shape.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a gardening or horticultural role (experience in a similar setting is a bonus).
* A good knowledge of plants, flowers, trees, garden care and general agriculture.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Competent with tools and garden machinery.
* You enjoy the outdoors and have a genuine interest in horticulture.
* Knowledge of sustainable gardening practices is a plus.
