Precinct Bar and Restaurant is an Australian modern casual dining, A very busy and popular venue located along the Ovens River in Wangaratta.
We're currently looking for passionate and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team for full time positions.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's standards and as per the menus.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
* Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, adhering strictly to HACCP rules and food safety regulations
* Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold consistent quality and teamwork
* Manage prep levels, stock rotation, and organisation across all kitchen sections
* Communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service
* Perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining standards
* Assist the Head Chef and management in creating and developing menus, using seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas.
* Monitor kitchen operations to ensure the timely delivery of dishes and maintain high food quality and presentation.
Skills & Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a full-time Chef.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities
* Proven capacity to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
* Experience with Modern Australian menus
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Strong communication and collaboration with kitchen and front-of-house teams
* Knowledge of and commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
* Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene protocols, and kitchen administration

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
