School Administration Officer (LSL Cover)
Location: Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School, Wanguri. NT. 0810
Duration: 7 May 2026 to 19 June 2026 (Long Service Leave Cover)
Classification: Casual (Salary starting from $46,000 - $51,000)
Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School is seeking an experienced and proactive Administration Officer to join our front office team while our current Administration Officer takes Long Service Leave.
As the first point of contact for our community, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the school. From greeting parents and students to managing attendance records. To ensure you feel confident and supported in the role a training period will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Front Desk: Act as the primary point of contact for students, parents, and visitors.
* Attendance Management: Monitor and update student attendance records (including following up on unexplained absences).
* Communication: Manage incoming calls, emails, and school correspondence professionally across school communication platforms
* Administrative Support: Assist the Leadership Team with documentation, filing, and general office duties as well as provide support for classroom teachers.
* First Aid: Provide basic first aid and care to students when required
To be successful in this role you should have:
* Experience: Previous experience in school administration or a fast-paced office environment.
* Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management software (e.g. Toddle, CES, Google workplace)
* Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills with a calm, patient demeanour.
* Reliability: The ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
* Compliance: A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid Certificate
