Kitchen Chef
Melbourne, VIC | Full-Time | Start June–July 2026
CIBI is looking for a Kitchen Chef who cares deeply about food quality and teamwork – preparing simple, seasonal, and nourishing food as part of a lifestyle concept brand connecting Australia and Japan through design, food, and everyday living.
In this role you will:
* Preparing and presenting food that reflects CIBI's food philosophy – simple, seasonal, balanced, and nourishing
* Managing your section efficiently throughout service
* Supporting kitchen organisation, stock management, and ordering
* Working closely with the wider kitchen team to maintain quality and consistency
* Collaborating with hospitality, retail, and grocery teams to contribute to a seamless customer experience across CIBI
* Contributing to the development of a positive, organised, and collaborative kitchen culture
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate

Experience & Skills:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen (Australian experience preferred)
* Strong understanding of food preparation, service standards, and kitchen organisation
* Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members is highly regarded
* Experience with stock control and ordering is advantageous
