About the School
Chester Hill High School (CHHS) is a comprehensive, co‐educational secondary school located in south‐western Sydney, part of the Auburn Schools Educational Network. It offers an Intensive English Centre and an Inclusive Support Class. The school has 993 students (840 mainstream, 153 IEC) and 92% of students have a language background other than English. It supports a culturally diverse community, including many refugee and Aboriginal students. All students are encouraged to achieve academically and participate in artistic, cultural and sporting opportunities.
Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Technology (mandatory for years 7‐8) and Food Technology; approval, experience or willingness to teach other Technology and Applied Studies subjects.
* Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with the TAS faculty and contribute toward the development of programs and resources.
* Evidence of effective classroom management that promotes a supportive and positive learning environment.
* Demonstrated ability to lead an inclusive learning environment that caters for engagement and differentiation of abilities, including gifted and talented students and those from non‐English speaking backgrounds.
