The position of Physiotherapist Advanced Indigenous Respiratory Outreach Clinics (IROC) will deliver advanced level physiotherapy clinical and educational leadership with an advanced level of knowledge and skill to provide authoritative counsel for paediatric physiotherapy indigenous respiratory outreach services for CHQ HHS. Provide oversight of the physiotherapy IROC service to coordinate and collaborate with the CHQ IROC and rural centres and communities to develop and maintain clinical excellence and high standards of care.

About The Team

As part of the Allied Health Service, the QCH Physiotherapy Department is a tertiary paediatric service providing high level care, based on evidence-based practice and international standards of care. Advanced clinicians are available in all physiotherapy teams, whilst supervision and governance are underpinned by the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards. Subspecialty teams provide patient‐centred management, tailored to the child and family's unique needs that can be delivered in outpatient, day patient, inpatient, outreach and telehealth settings.

About The Role

In this role you will create systems to sustain high quality delivery for children, young people and families (Leader of Leaders) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

Clinical Practice

* Provide advanced level, high quality clinical services within CHQ HHS in the management of chronic respiratory conditions, informed by evidence‐based practice in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
* Ability to apply advanced level clinical expertise, specialised techniques and professional judgement to a complex caseload and provide clinical direction and advice to support evidence based clinical decision making and quality patient care by less experienced physiotherapists in regional and remote centres.
* Provide professional leadership in IROC services, including the development and implementation of a model of care that ensures state‐wide, high standards of care and optimal clinical outcomes for First Nations patients.
* Participate in state‐wide IROC and telehealth follow up with patients, families, First Nations community support workers and less experienced physiotherapists.
