The Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Service is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Principal Lawyer to join their team.
Role Overview
This role involves providing legal advice, casework, and representation in matters related to Family Law, Domestic & Family Violence, Child Protection, and Victims Assist Queensland. As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for managing teams, conducting advocacy and casework, preparing and filing legal documents, and building trust with clients, stakeholders, and communities.
Responsibilities
* Advocate for clients with a focus on client satisfaction and outcomes.
* Conduct casework according to professional standards and risk management practices.
* Prepare and file legal documents within required timeframes.
* Build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and communities through respectful communication.
* Promote the service by representing it at meetings, forums, and community events.

Work Environment
