State Property Building Services is a construction business delivering insurance, residential, commercial & private works across Victoria.
We're seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to manage projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, program, and client outcomes are consistently met.
Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of construction supervision experience.
This role is ideal for a hands-on supervisor who takes ownership of their jobs, communicates clearly, and runs sites properly.
About the Role
As a Construction Supervisor, you will oversee multiple construction projects, providing strong onsite leadership while coordinating trades, managing schedules, maintaining compliance, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
You'll work closely with the Construction Manager, Project Assistants, Estimating, and Procurement teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee construction projects from commencement through to completion
* Conduct initial, mid-project, and completion site visits
* Coordinate trades, consultants, and internal teams to maintain program targets
* Ensure all works comply with safety requirements, building codes, permits, and documentation
* Raise and manage purchase orders, review invoices, and monitor job budgets
* Identify and manage variations, delays, and site risks proactively
* Maintain accurate site documentation, photos, schedules, and reports
* Provide clear communication to clients, insurers, trades, and internal stakeholders
* Complete inspections, checklists, and defect rectification prior to handover

* Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar role
* Strong understanding of residential building processes and compliance
* Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities simultaneously
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Confident communicator with trades, clients, and internal teams
* Comfortable using project management software and digital documentation
* Strong safety mindset and leadership presence onsite
* Experience managing residential construction and commercial construction projects
* Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from $50k-400k in value
* Must have Australian work authorisation at the time of application
