**The Role**
In this role you will support the CFO and Group Financial Controller, holding responsibility for the entire organisations Payroll function. The payroll in Australia is comprised of roughly 1000 staff, the bulk of which are salaried on a fortnightly pay. A small number of this payroll sit with an outsourced provider, so managing that relationship will be part of your key tasks. There are two longstanding Payroll Officers that you will be managing. Both are great assets to the business & perform their roles well, so most of your work will just be review / guidance.
Duties will include:
- Manage a payroll of 1000 employees
- Staff management & development for 2 payroll officers
- Month end - including payroll journals
- Third party compliance
- Reporting requirements & relationship management for third party vendors
- Payroll compliance & audit assistance
- Managing workers compensation
- Ability to process end to end (so you can support on occasion)
**Your Profile**
To be successful in this role you will have experience in a similar position and be keen to further develop your skills. You will be comfortable with the End-to-End Payroll process and have strong experience around month end journals. You will have the ability to manage your time effectively & be highly organized. Communication & ability to present data will be crucial to this role as you will be managing relationships with the Senior Leadership Team. External vendors will also require stakeholder management, so ability to build trust will be paramount.
