Role overview
Permanent, full-time position based in Hay. As a Customer Service Officer, you will be in the driver seat of service delivery, helping customers achieve their banking goals and representing our branch with a strong focus on risk and accuracy.
What you’ll do
- Explore customers’ needs through in-depth conversations to help them achieve their financial goals and partner with different specialists within the branch
- Support customers with digital literacy and online banking needs as we continue to innovate our offerings
- Be the face of the branch and customer service, handling transactions, cash, queries, and paperwork while keeping risk considerations at the forefront
- Engage in lifelong learning with on-the-job training and external development opportunities
- Build connections by supporting customers, giving back to the community, and fostering a positive work culture
What you’ll bring
- Experience in a customer service environment with the ability to achieve targets
- Strong attention to detail to ensure secure, accurate transactions with a risk-aware mindset
- Confidence communicating with new and existing customers face-to-face and over the phone
- Understanding of what makes Bendigo Bank different
- Team-oriented mindset and team-focused attitude
- Experience in the banking and finance industry is a plus but not essential
