That's where you come in We're on the lookout for a sharp and dedicated Claims Administration Officer to join our dynamic Work Health and Safety and Injury Management team. Working under the guidance of the Manager, Work Health and Safety and Injury Management, you'll be instrumental in delivering a fair, efficient, and cost-effective workers' compensation service across SALHN. A key aspect of your role will be the precise management of a portfolio of low-risk, short-term cases, guaranteeing our team members receive support they need.
**About the role**:
Duties for the role will include:
- Drive the efficient and equitable management of straightforward, short-term claims, ensuring our people receive the support they need swiftly and in line with all the rules.
- Take the lead in processing vital financial transactions, from payroll to invoices, ensuring accuracy and contributing to sound financial management.
- Master our data system, ensuring every claim detail is accurately recorded and maintained, contributing to seamless operations and legal compliance.
- Partner with various teams - from injury management to finance - fostering open communication and proactively resolving issues to build a supportive workplace.
- Assist in identifying and implementing smarter, more efficient ways of managing claims, helping to enhance our service delivery and financial performance.
**About you**:
- Proven ability to work effectively within teams and autonomously, managing workloads to meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and others involved in the claims management process.
- Skilled in administrative tasks, database management (SIMS, Microsoft Office), and providing client-focused services.
- Experience in providing advice on worker's compensation claims and delivering high-quality, safe care.
- Experience in managing low risk claims.
