Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a multidisciplinary mental health clinician to work within a community mental health team, focusing on adult clients.
The role involves partnering with support services and carers to provide comprehensive care to consumers with complex needs.
Bathurst Community Mental Health comprises a multidisciplinary team including registered nurses, psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, supported by senior clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing acute care, clinical management, assessments, and therapeutic interventions
* Developing skills in areas such as acute assessment, critical thinking, rapport building, and therapies like DBT, CBT-e, SSCM, and EMDR
* Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes
Staff have access to regular clinical supervision, multidisciplinary case reviews, and wellness activities to promote staff wellbeing.
Requirements
* A degree in a relevant field (psychology, nursing, social work, or medicine)
* Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g. AHPRA)
* Proven experience working with adults with mental health issues
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
