What we're looking for
* Cert III in Communications (essential)
* Mine site experience and strong understanding of operational environments
* HRWL / EWP
* Open Cable Licence
* ELV qualification or equivalent
* QLD CBM & Standard 11 (preferred)
* Experience with P25, Tetra, DMR
* Strong capability in maintaining and troubleshooting fleet management systems, radio networks, and fibre optics
* Sharp analytical skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
What you'll be doing
* Work across multiple Bowen Basin sites on critical safety and communications projects
* Install, configure, and maintain fleet management, communication, and smart safety systems, including Collision Avoidance Systems
* Work with leading technologies: CAT Terrain, Modular Mining, Cisco, Cambium, Ubiquiti, Motorola, Tait, DMR, TETRA 2‑way systems
* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced camera, radar, and sensor technologies
* Perform accurate fibre splicing and network testing to ensure reliable, high‑quality connections
* Diagnose technical issues with a safety‑first approach
* Collaborate with the team to implement innovative technology solutions
* Conduct routine maintenance and system checks to maximise system performance
* Deliver professional technical support to onsite teams and stakeholders
