The Company
Our client is a Nationwide, leading engineering contractor that was established 30 years ago. They have been specialising in a range of solutions for Remediation works including Concrete Remediation (Remedial), Corrosion Protection / Blast and Paint and Waterproofing works.
The Role
Our client has an exciting permanent opportunity for a 2 x Supervisors with experience in Blast & Paint, Department of Defence projects, or Infrastructure Asset Remediation work.
* Supervisor 1 - Permanent Night Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday per fortnight (paid as additional overtime).
* Supervisor 2 - Permanent Day Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday per fortnight (paid as additional overtime).
These roles are working on an ongoing Defence contract, delivering blast and paint / protective coatings works on a range of Defence vessels.
Leading Hands with Blast & Paint experience who are looking to progress into a Junior Supervisor role will also be considered.
Reporting to the Defence Production Manager, these Supervisor's primary objectives would be to lead and manage teams completing Blast and Paint works. You will supervise works and ensure it is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with quality standards.

Your key responsibilities:
* Lead and manage blast and paint team/s, helping the team to solve problems and manage day to day works
* Lead by example and ensure a high safety culture
* Complete and maintain site records - site administration
* Ensure sub-contractors and suppliers are compliant with project requirements
* Ensure quality standards are met
* Oversee works being carried out is in accordance with plans / scope of works.
* Participate in task planning and risk analysis, conduct regular audits, and maintain quality standards.
What We're Looking For
* Experience supervising teams and managing complex blast and paint scopes (Essential).
* Technical knowledge of coatings, surface preparation, hazardous substances, and application processes (Essential).
* Exposure to Defence or Infrastructure Remediation projects (Desirable).
* Clear National Police Check (Essential).
* NACE 2 certification (Desirable).
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite.
* Australian Citizenship is required for Defence security purposes.
