Schedule: Weekdays - Mornings
Commitment: Must be able to volunteer at least once a week for a minimum of 4 hours. Please specify your availability on the application form.

The Program
The Red Cross Wellbeing Centres in Townsville, Mackay, and Rockhampton offer safe, affordable accommodation for those receiving medical treatment or visiting loved ones from remote North Queensland. These centres provide rest and recuperation facilities.
The Opportunity
This role requires good communication skills and attention to detail. You should be able to perform cleaning duties effectively using provided equipment and products. Empathy and the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds are essential.
Red Cross will provide training, ongoing support, and access to other opportunities within our humanitarian network.
The Impact
As a volunteer, you will help vulnerable community members feel safe and supported. Your role involves listening, empathising, and providing friendly assistance during their stay.
Application Requirements
Complete a National Police Check, organized through Red Cross.
Provide a recent resume and two professional references.
Hold or apply for a Working with Children Check. Red Cross can assist with this process.
